Moreton Bay Bugs<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>

It is the general name for members of the Thenus<\/i>\u00a0species; specifically, the\u00a0Sand Bug<\/b>\u00a0(Thenus australiensis<\/i>) and\u00a0Mud Bug<\/b>\u00a0(Thenus indicus<\/i>). They\u2019re found much further afield than Queensland\u2019s Moreton Bay, living around the northern half of Australia\u2019s coast, though caught mainly off northern Queensland. Sand Bugs have spotted legs and brown tail fans, whereas Mudbugs have yellow tail fans. Available wild-caught, they are bottom-dwelling marine prawns, found from southern NSW, around the northern coast of Australia to Shark Bay, WA.<\/a><\/p>
